Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation

I offer introductory classes, and a variety of more advanced special topic classes, to diverse adults. Introductory classes are typically 6-8 weeks long with each class being 60-90 minutes in length.  Students should expect to devote some time every day to their own meditation practice. All readings or videos outside of class are optional. A typical introductory course covers the following topics:

1. Introduction to Mindfulness

2. Mindfulness of the Body: Embodied Awareness

3. Being Fully Human:  Mindfulness of Emotions

4. Working with Thoughts and Beliefs

5. The Wise Heart

6. Bringing Your Practice Into the World
